In this class students will begin to learn the principles of Tai-Chi along with how and why it works through practicing the 4 movements that make up "Grasp the Sparrows Tail". Students will also begin to investigate the function of the postures and principles so they can apply themselves and daily life.

Once a student is able to perform "Grasp the Sparrows Tail" (Level 1)and the left and right side they are ready to move on with Teachers permission. In this class students deepen their understanding of the principles and begin learning about how to do Tai-Chi stepping.

Once a students has finished Level 1 and 2 they will have enough of an understanding of basic principles to start learning the form in its entirety. Starting from the opening sequence a student will explore the application of each movement as well as subtle aspects of Tai-Chi.

Once a student has finished learning the movements of the form they can begin to learn the 2 person exercise called Push-Hands. This is an exercise where the principles taught in the form are now applied and student can begin explore actual application. Further perfection and understanding of the form continues.
